We worked with Mr. Jason Holter recently when my wife and I purchased our first house. When we first met, I was planning on working with another lender, however, I decided to work with him after the way he answered my questions about the mortgage process and the different types of mortgages. I had done some research on my own, and had some questions, and the three other lenders I had spoken with were not able to answer them in a way that helped me make an educated decision about my loan. Each time I felt lost in mortgage jargon, even after my research. Jason was very helpful in answering any question I had in common language. One of the things that really stuck out to me about working with Jason was that nothing was a problem. The house we were trying to buy was in need of some repairs prior to securing the loan, and at first the seller was reluctant to allow repairs to be done, but Jason not only convinced the seller to allow the repairs, but supplied a contractor that was much more affordable to do them. Also, when it came time to close, the seller was on vacation in Florida. In order to not delay the closing, he found a notary in Florida near where they were staying so they could sign the paperwork and we could close on time. He is also extremely knowledgeable about what a lender looks for in a house and in the buyer. He told me upfront the issues the lender would most likely want to see repaired before the loan was approved, and was right on. He also helped us choose the type of loan that was best suited for the property we were buying, since some types of loans were not an option with the repairs that had to be made. He always kept me updated throughout the process, and kept everything running smoothly. Overall I was very impressed with his work ethic and how easy he was to work with. I would recommend working with him, and hope we get the opportunity to work together again.
